An Estimation Method for Relationship Strength in Weighted Social Network Graphs

You are here

This 2014 article proposes an estimation method for relationship strength in weighted social network graphs. The authors argue that their method can fully estimate the relationship strength between any two users in a social network, whether they are directly connected or not. The method proposed by the authors is based on the trust propagation strategy and the estimation of direct relationship strength. Their method considers relationship paths, the length and number of relationship paths, and the edge weights, to estimate the strength of indirect relationships.

This article will be of particular use to scholars, researchers and practitioners interested in exploring methods for estimating relationship strength in weighted social networks and graphs.
