Benchmarking Graph Databases on the Problem of Community Detection

You are here

This article is an update of the September 2014 conference presentation given at the 2014 Advances in Databases and Information Systems Conference (ADBIS 2014).  The article focuses on the detection of communities within Online Social Networks. It addresses the problem of comparing graph databases in terms of performance, specifically focussing on the problem of community detection. It includes the creation of high-volume and high velocity data, the use of graph modelling and structures, and tests various types of graph databases against community detection algorithms.

This article will be of interest to researchers and practitioners interested in the detection of online networks on Social Media, and particularly those interested in graphs, network structures, and databases.
